Healthy Skin Supplements

I get compliments all the time on my skin.

And while that is partly due to genetics, I must admit that I use supplements to enhance my skin’s appearance.

Here are some products I use to achieve a glowing complexion.

  1. Collagen
    Collagen is great for your skin, hair, nails and joints. I love this product because I get my collagen in the form of a tasty creamer. I pair this creamer with several herbal teas such as ‘Roasted Dandelion’, ‘Tumeric Slim Chai’ and ‘Chamomile’ herbal teas. I pick up a few of these containers at GNC, but it is available from a variety of suppliers.

  2. Vitamins
    Taking vitamins are great for your skin. Particularly vitamins that contain selenium. Selenium protects your cells from damage, it calms inflammation and soothes redness and sensitivity. You can take vitamins in any form, but I prefer to use liquid vitamins as they are more potent in a liquid form.

  3. Coconut Water
    This one is not a supplement, but it does contain nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin K, zinc, iodine, selenium and manganese. It’s also a great substitute for energy drinks as it is packed full of electrolytes. A word of caution… just make sure that the ingredients on your coconut water says only 100% coconut water. If it says ascorbic acid or any additional ingredients, do not drink that brand.
